Meet Our Assistant Principal

Ms. Rhonda Williams

Hello Steel Family,

My name is Rhonda Williams, and I am eager to meet with you and get to know all of you.  I am currently the assistant principal at Edward T. Steel School.  I have previously served as an instructional coach, grade team lead and teacher.  I entered teaching over 10 years ago with a Bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, a Master’s in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Cabrini College and another Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln University.

I’m from Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Mt. Airy.  I have two children, a boy and girl along with a dog, whom I love dearly.  As a family we enjoy basketball, traveling, dining out, swimming and family movie nights.  Personally, I enjoy reading, theater and traveling.  While I hope to share more about myself than just resume bullet points in the future, I also want to get to know you all better.

I view education as a lifelong process, and I will strive that students develop a love of learning in this year and in the years to come.   Most importantly, I bring a belief that the students are at the center of all school-related decisions. My goal is to maintain a positive and safe learning environment where every child is provided the support and resources necessary to reach their fullest potential. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year do not hesitate to call the main office or contact me by email at rfwilliams@philasd.org.

Sincerely,

Ms. Williams

Assistant Principal
