A Message from our Principal:

Dear Steel Family,

Welcome to the Edward T. Steel Elementary School! As we kick off the 2026-2027 academic school year, our foundational commitment remains clear: safety first, respect always, and a relentless drive toward excellence.

This school year, our core focus centers on cultivating independent student growth. We are dedicated to empowering every student to take ownership of their learning, build resilience, and develop the critical thinking skills needed to navigate their own paths to success. While our staff continues to provide a vibrant, supportive tapestry of mentorship, culture, and high-quality instruction, our ultimate goal is to help our students recognize their own agency—academically, socially, and personally.

From rigorous academics and social-emotional learning to college and career exploration, we are equipping our students to lead their own journeys and reach for the stars. Every voice at Steel is valued, and this year, we are placing student leadership and self-advocacy at the forefront of everything we do.

Please take time to explore our website for resources, updates, and opportunities to support your child’s developing independence. We invite our families to partner with us as we guide our students toward becoming confident, self-directed learners.

Sincerely,

Mr. Angikindslows Senatus
Principal
