Hello Steel Family,

My name is Darnell Bolds and I am excited to be working with you as an Assistant Principal.  Previously I have served at Steel School as the Climate Manager.  I taught in the School District in Special Education before transitioning into administration.

I am a product of the School District of Philadelphia. I went on to attend the prestigious Lincoln University of PA and obtained a Bachelors of Science with a concentration in Political Science.  I also have a Master’s degree from Temple University with a focus in Educational Leadership. I grew up in North Philadelphia and my dedication lies in giving back to the North Philadelphia community by way of helping to shape the youth of Philadelphia to become well educated, well rounded and productive members of society.

I am a graduate of the School District of Philadelphia & Temple University’s Pathways to Leadership inaugural cohort.

I’m married with four children and a dog.  As a family we enjoy traveling, swimming and going to museums.  I personally enjoy bike riding, all sports and music.

I believe all students can be successful when given appropriate instructional and personal training and mentoring.  I look forward to continuing my service to the  students and families of the Nicetown community as the newly appointed Assistant Principal.
